The two rounds of the exams were conducted on August 21 and August 28, and the final round is scheduled to be held on September 11.

Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Sunday that the state government will refund the fees of candidates who fail to qualify for the ongoing Assam Direct Recruitment exams for Grade III and Grade IV posts-old.

Talking to the media, CM Sarma said, "The exams are being conducted without a problem at all examination centres across the state. No complaints of exam-related misconduct have been reported. "

He added, "We will try to announce the results within one month. And candidates who fail to qualify for the exams will get back their fees. The fees will be returned to the candidate’s respective bank accounts. " 

"We will keep the fees of only those candidates who pass the exams," he further said.

It is to be noted that the two rounds of the exams were conducted on August 21 and August 28, and the final round is scheduled to be held on September 11.

Moreover, around 14 lakh candidates have registered for the examinations for around 30,000 Grade III and Grade IV posts-old in various government departments.
