Digital Desk: In an unfortunate incident that occurred in the Lakhimpur district of Assam on Friday, Amburam Sonowal, a villager from No. 2 Sensuwa village under the Boginadi police station, is said to have killed his 18-year-old son Dimpul Sonowal due to family strife and financial difficulties.
The father killed his son with a knife, according to early reports, and then hanged himself from a ceiling fan.
When the district magistrate and the Boginadi police arrived, they looked into the situation.
Both bodies have been taken to the Lakhimpur Medical College for a post-mortem.
The entire neighborhood was enveloped in shadows after the catastrophe.
