The Northeast Frontier Railway has deployed 21 Covid-19 care isolation coaches at the Guwahati Railway Station for the treatment of the Covid-19 patients.
20 Rail coaches has been deployed at Guwahati, Badarpur, Lumding, Tinsukia and Bongaigaon railway station, which will work as Covid-19 Care Centers, coaches are equipped with 350 oxygen beds.
The Assam government has urged the NF railways to prepare 150 Covid Care Coaches at various locations across the states, as the states has been facing immense shortage of hospital beds to accommodate Covid-19 patients due to the surge in the cases in the state.
These Covid care isolation coaches are equipped with essential medical facilities which can provide necessary medical aid to patients who have been affected by the deadly coronavirus.
