He said that after receiving a tip, a joint team from the Central Reserve Police Force and the Karbi Anglong police stopped a truck and found the contraband inside a secret compartment.

Digital Desk: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police arrested two persons on Sunday and recovered around four quintals of ganja from their possession in the Karbi Anglong district.

The news was informed by the state Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma 

He informed that acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the Karbi Anglong police and the Central Reserve Police Force intercepted a truck and recovered the contraband from a hidden chamber of the vehicle.

Taking his Twitter account Sarma Tweeted, “Early in the morning today, @karbianglongpol along with @crpfindia C 20 BN staff intercepted a truck and seized 4 quintals Ganja hidden in a modified secret chamber. Two accused apprehended.”
