The corrigendum contains modifications that provide altered dates for certain significant festivals...

Digital Desk: The Assam Government's Administrative Services Department has released a corrigendum to correct errors in the Holiday List for the year 2023, in a significant modification. The corrections concern the dates of numerous festivals and events as originally announced.

The corrigendum contains modifications that provide altered dates for certain significant festivals by other calendars. Changes to the Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva, Karam Puja, and Janmotsav of Srimanta Sankardeva are among the correction.

Srimanta Sankardeva Tithi will now be observed on September 16 (Bhadra 25), rather than the previously stated August 18 (Sravan 27). Similarly, Karam Puja will henceforth be celebrated on September 25 (Asvina 3) rather than August 27 (Bhadra 5). Furthermore, Srimanta Sankardeva's Janmotsav has been moved from September 25 (Asvina 3) to September 24 (Asvina 2).

The changes fix the previously mentioned dates and align them with the corrected details.
