Guwahati: New SOP has been issued for re-starting the offline class from September 6 by the Assam Government.
The SOP has also stated that classes up to class XI will remain closed, and students whose classes will resume from Monday will be allowed to stay in the hostel. Double dose vaccination is mandatory for the students.
Classes of High Secondary final year, degree 6th semester, Post Graduate 4th semester have been allowed to conduct classes from September 6.
Students of Class 12 and students above 18 years will be allowed to attend the classes with a minimum of one dose of the vaccine.
A classroom should not have more than 30 students, and if required the sections in the classes can be increased.
The teachers have been instructed by the Educational Department to carry on with the online classes of the lower classes.
Meanwhile, Assam reported 564 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday with a positivity rate of 0.61%
