Assam government has decided to hand over Junmoni Rabha's death case to the CBI...

Digital Desk: In the latest development in Junmoni Rabha's death case, the Assam government has decided to hand over the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

It should be noted that the deceased Sub Inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha's family has been demanding the state government to order a CBI investigation into the alleged murder of the police officer.

Speaking to the media, DGP Assam stated that the matter had been given to the CBI for two reasons. Firstly, on the basis of public sentiments, and secondly, on the basis of neutrality.

Earlier, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma gave his opinion on the ongoing inquiry into Junmoni Rabha's death. The Chief Minister addressed the concerns raised by the matter and emphasized that a comprehensive inquiry is going on.

The incident that led to Junmoni Rabha's death provoked great debate and left many unanswered questions. The CID (Criminal Investigation Department) has taken control of the investigation, which aims to shed light on the circumstances behind the incident.

CM Sarma recognized the importance of the situation and extended his sympathies, emphasizing the significance of transparency during the inquiry process. He stated, "If anybody turns out to be responsible for the death of Jonmoni Rabha, they must face proper punishment."

Further, CM Sarma assured Junmoni Rabha's family that the CID is conducting its inquiry properly. However, he offered to launch a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) investigation if the family was dissatisfied with the CID's findings.
