The minister claimed that a thorough investigation is being conducted into the entire situation.

Digital Desk: Assam education minister Ranoj Pegu commented in reaction to the uproar caused by the recent general science paper leak in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination 2023, said that it is really unfortunate to hear that teachers are also involved in a such scam.

Ranoj Pegu responded to the paper leak case following several discussions on the matter.

The minister claimed that a thorough investigation is being conducted into the entire situation.

The minister stated, "Have to wait patiently for a result, police investigation underway, it's sad that students and teachers were involved, request all people who have information to submit before police, SEBA is a board they will take all necessary needed, HSLC exam suspended on specific grounds."

Pegu added that Ramesh Jain, who is in charge of the reforms, has helped the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) develop.

Pegu defended the system, which was purportedly accused of destroying students' futures by saying that TET exams and recruiting were going smoothly.

"It is regrettable that question paper leaks affect both professors and students. All of these actions may have been taken to destroy SEBA. The investigation would bring everything to light, he added.

Also, the police have asked former SEBA Chairman Shantikam Hazarika to give them all the information.

Earlier, the All Assam Student's Union (AASU) and several other organisations sought a thorough CBI investigation into the topic of the exam cancellation following the general science paper leak in the HSLC examination during a news conference on Monday.

In response to the general science paper leak in the HSLC examination, the organisation criticized Assam education minister Ranoj Pegu for calling off the exams.

Today at Swahid Bhawan in Guwahati, the press conference was given by Dr. Samujjal Bhattacharya, Chief Advisor of AASU.

Due to this, the AASU has urged that the SEBA be dissolved as well as the arrest of the exam controller.

They have also called for a change in the SEBA leadership and asked for a well-known educator to take the position.
