The leopard was imprisoned inside the building while a large group of crows gathered outside...

Digital Desk: A group of forest officers from the state zoo tranquillized a leopard that was lurking around the Guwahati suburb.

Earlier today, while the leopard was out and about in the Fatasil Ambari area, it attacked and hurt a young person in the Gauri Sarma Colony.

The young person was mauled by the stray leopard that had entered a residential structure. The leopard was then imprisoned inside the building.

In the meantime, the injured young person received first aid before being sent to a hospital for further care.

The leopard was securely moved to the state zoo after the team of forest officials had been trying to tranquillize it.

It is also said that two forest authorities had minor injuries during the tranquilization process.
