Digital Desk: On Thursday night, a joint team from the Crime Branch and the East Police District raided a residence and arrested two people in connection with the case in Guwahati.

Based on a tip, police officers raided the "Ganpati Enclave" flat on Sewali Path in Hengrabari, which is under the jurisdiction of the Dispur Police Station.

The investigation team was led by ADCP Maitri Deka.

During the raid, Psychotropic Substances suspected to be Cocaine - 33 grammes and MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine commonly known as molly or mandy in crystal form) - 11.64 grammes were recovered from the possession of one Digbijoy Navis alias Diki (37) son of Late Rathindra Nath Novis of Flat No. 4B, Ganapati Enclave, Sewali Path, Dispur_ Police Station, Kamrup.

In addition, the police team has lawfully taken one "Black Skoda" car with registration number AS01A M0008 three cell phones, one digital scale, Rs. 3000 in currency with a 500 denomination, and other offensive items that were being used in the logistics operation.

Two girls and another three boys have been taken into custody to be questioned in the meantime.

Notably, the matter is being investigated by the Crime Branch and the Dispur police.

Adding more to the story, Commissioner of Police, Guwahati, Diganta Barah said, "The youngsters of elite society are often more interested in buying drugs. Digvijay Nabish aka Vicky supplied the cocaine during the municipal archives campaign."

 According to Barah, Nabish frequently provided drugs in small amounts from Delhi, and he also stated that "a few hotels and pubs are also involved in this raid." 

We have a lot of information from his call list of providing locations, but for the sake of research, we won't be able to mention the names of the hotel and the pub for the time being. 

A report of drug distribution at music festivals in several parts of Meghalaya has also been received.

According to reports, Nabish is from Hengrabari, Guwahati and owns a tattoo parlour.
