As of now, authorities have not determined the cause of the fire and have stated that a thorough investigation is necessary.

Digital Desk: Startling news from Jorabat, Assam, stated that a large fire that started on Sunday claimed the life of a woman. With lightning speed, the fire destroyed up to five houses completely.

Sujata Choudhury was recognised as the deceased woman. According to early accounts, the fire started next to a business called Shankar Bhojanalaya.

Five houses were destroyed by the flames as they quickly moved to the neighbouring residential area, according to the reports. Cooking gas cylinders began to explode once the fire progressed, which gave the locals further reason to be concerned.

Following the fire, at least three cylinder explosions were reported by the locals. After great effort, firefighters and police officers were able to put out the fire as soon as they got to the scene.

The woman was in critical condition when she was taken to a neighbouring hospital earlier, having sustained 70% burns. She passed away from her wounds while receiving care.

As of now, authorities have not determined the cause of the fire and have stated that a thorough investigation is necessary.

It is to be noted that more information on the matter is awaited.
