Digital Desk: A man from Assam was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances in Nepal. The man, identified as Amitabh Sarma, lives in Hailakandi town and is a native of the Hailakandi district.
According to reports, Sarma went to Nepal with a friend for eye treatment on February 19.
Sarma and his friend planned to visit the Biratnagar Eye Hospital while they were both staying in Biratnagar. But on February 21, Sarma went missing from the hotel. The friend immediately informed the family of the victim and the police in Nepal as well.
Following a 48-hour search, authorities in Biratnagar discovered the victim's body in an abandoned place.
Meanwhile, the body has been sent for post-mortem.
Even though the authorities are still conducting their investigation, the man's cause of death remains mysterious.
