The minister told reporters that they will take into account the suggestions of the committee members and other participants in resolving the border concerns.

Digital Desk: The first meeting of the regional committee for the West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya to discuss the long-pending boundary dispute. Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar, Minister of Public Health Engineering (PHE), will preside over the meeting of the regional committee for the West Khasi Hills, according to sources. The minister told reporters that they will take into account the suggestions of the committee members and other participants in resolving the border concerns.

The minister stated, "We anticipate their providing us with helpful input." He added that the traditional heads of the 39 villages that had expressed interest in attending the summit had also received invitations. However, the minister asserted that everyone would love to approve of everything equally and suggested that this might not always be the case. 

"Since there is an ethnicity issue, many individuals would be pleased to join Meghalaya, and many have already stated this wish. I'm hoping the Assam government will treat those villages with dignity ", he said.
