Silchar: To enquire about the health condition of the police personnel who were injured in the Assam-Mizoram border dispute on Monday Assam CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, Guardian Minister Ashok Singhal today visited the Silchar Medical college.

“Five Assam Police Personnel died while defending the “constitutional boundary” of the state with Mizoram and more than 60 people injured, including Cachar SP Vaibhav Nimbalkar and OC of Dholai.” Official statement said.

CM Sarma also visited SP Vaibhav Nimbalkar, who is in ICU and undergoing medical treatment in Silchar Medical Hospital.

Moreover, after visiting the police personnel, CM Sarma pays tribute to the five police personnel in SP office, who died in the clash on Monday.

CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “We are deeply anguished by the loss of lives of our brave

@assampolicepersonnel.I visited Silchar SP Office and paid floral tributes to the five martyrs and salute their sacrifice.”

CM Sarma Sharing a video in his twitter account he wrote, “After killing 5 Assam police personnel and injuring many, this is how Mizoram police and goons are celebrating.- sad and horrific.”

In another tweet the CM wrote, “Clear evidences are now beginning to emerge that unfortunately show that Mizoram Police has used Light Machine Guns (LMG) against personnel of@assampolice. This is sad, unfortunate and speaks volumes about the intention and gravity of the situation.”
