Digital Desk: Police in Assam's Charaideo district arrested a Naga youth for allegedly extorting money while posing as a ULFA-I cadre.
Tingmon Konyak, the arrested adolescent, has been identified. He lives in Nagaland's Mon district.
On Monday, he was apprehended in Sonari's Namtola.
According to reports, the accused had been extorting money from several Namtola businessmen in the name of ULFA-I.
There are also allegations that he put people under duress to pay the requested amount.
An investigation into the incident has begun.
