Digital Desk: An Assam Police constable died in the midst of a parade session in Guwahati's Khanapara on Friday.

The deceased constable, identified as Kukil Dutta, was a resident of Assam's Lakhimpur, according to reports.

He was posted in Tezpur under the Assam Police Radio Organisation (APRO).

According to sources, Dutta was not feeling well during a practice session for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations at the Khanapara parade ground. However, he was reportedly forced to join the practice.

Later, he was taken to the hospital, where the health authorities declared him brought dead.

On Saturday morning, at his home in Lakhimpur, Dutta's mortal remains were exhumed.
