I went to the Titabor Police Station to register a FIR after realising the thieves had taken all of my funds. The cops eventually managed to capture the scammer.

Digital Desk: Due to the recent increase in cybercrimes, Assam Police detained a cybercriminal on Sunday in the Jorhat district.

The fraudster's real name is Navam Shrotriya, also known as Piku.

According to sources, Lalit Shyam, a Retired College Principal, held his account at the Punjab National Bank, and Navam allegedly took Rs. 16 lakhs from him.

I don't know how they broke into my bank account and stole Rs. 16 lakhs, Lalit said to the reporters. I went to the Titabor Police Station to register a FIR after realising the thieves had taken all of my funds. The cops eventually managed to capture the scammer.

I had never heard of a case like this before. I am a retired college principal, and what they stole from me were my savings. Because I fell for this trick, I urge all Assamese residents to be on the lookout for circumstances that are similar.
