Digital Desk: Assam Police has recently scored a significant victory in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking, showcasing a firm and proactive approach to combating the pervasive threat. Acting on credible intelligence, the Cachar police launched a meticulously planned tactical operation at the Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) in Silchar.

The operation yielded remarkable results as three individuals suspected of trafficking were apprehended, and an astounding 572 kilograms of heroin were seized—a street value estimated at a staggering Rs 3 crore.
