Digital Desk: In an ongoing war against drugs, Barpathar Police in Assam’s Golaghat on Sunday carried out an anti-drug operation resulting in the apprehension of a woman involved in drug trafficking.

According to sources, the raid resulted in the seizure of 14 soap boxes containing 176 grams of heroin.

The heroin was recovered during a nighttime bus journey from Dimapur to Tinsukia. 

The apprehended individual has been identified as Niazum Muniak from Dimapur. The market value of the confiscated heroin is anticipated to be Rs 15 lakh.

The continued efforts of law enforcement to thwart drug-related activity in the area are reflected in this operation.
