According to sources, her body has been taken to Nagaon for a post-mortem.

Digital Desk: Junmoni Rabha, an Assam Police Sub-Inspector (SI) who was embroiled in several issues, died in a tragic accident in Assam's Nagaon district.

The accident occurred on Monday night, when Rabha's vehicle collided with an oncoming truck with the registration number 'UP 78UT 4518' near Sarubhagia village on National Highway 37.

According to sources, the vehicle was entirely smashed in the accident due to the massive impact. Local police responded and transported the SI to Kaliabor Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital for treatment, but medics ruled her dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, Nagaon Superintendent of Police (SP) Leena Doley arrived on the scene to assess the situation.  Rabha was driving in regular clothes towards Upper Assam at 2 a.m. when the tragedy occurred.

According to sources, her body has been taken to Nagaon for a post-mortem.

Junmoni Rabha was a police officer at Nagaon's Morakolong police station who made headlines last year for a variety of issues, including corruption, criminal conspiracy, and cheating, for which she was also arrested. A session's court eventually granted her bail.
