A member of the Raijor Dal party, Sangeeta Gogoi, succumbed to a heart attack while on duty at an election table in Banmukh Panchayat's ward no. 10. Her sudden demise has cast a pall over the electoral proceedings.

In another unfortunate turn of incident at a polling booth in Lumding, chaos ensued as the presiding officer, Shabbir Ali, suffered a severe health complication due to high blood pressure.

Reportedly, the incident took place at polling station number 253 in ME School 253, Lumding Harulongpher.
