Digital Desk: In the ongoing war against drugs, Assam Rifles successfully recovered 79 gms of heroin worth Rs 31.6 Lacs from General Area Fulertal, under Lakhipur police station, Cachar District, Assam on Friday.  
      
 According to reports, a joint operation was launched by Assam Rifles and Lakhipur PS. The team seized 79 gms of heroin worth Rs 31.6 Lacs and arrested an individual. 
 
To prevent the smuggling of illicit substances, Assam Rifles is keeping a close eye on things, conducting operations on a constant basis, and exercising extreme caution.

Lakhipur PS, Cachar District, Assam received the seized items and the arrested individuals for additional inquiry and legal action.
