Digital Desk: In a terrible occurrence, a teacher is said to have killed himself in Bardalani in Gogamukh under the Dhemaji district by hanging himself on a tree. The incident unfortunately took place on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

The deceased teacher was identified as Rajen Bania.

Rajen allegedly committed himself due to the non-payment of a pending wage, reports said.

It has been established that Rajan Bania worked as a teaching assistant at Lower Buniyadi School No. 503 Auniati Kaivarta.

It's interesting that although this school was founded before India gained independence, it has not yet been provincialized.

It may be mentioned that both the family and the locals were shocked by the teacher's action.
