The directive entails a rescheduling of normal school timings across both Government and Private Educational Institutions within the district.

Digital Desk: In response to the ongoing extreme heat wave conditions, the District Commissioner of Dhubri has issued a directive aimed at ensuring the health, well-being, and safety of students. The directive entails a rescheduling of normal school timings across both Government and Private Educational Institutions within the district.

The revised school timings are as follows:

  1. Lower Primary Schools: 7:30 AM - 12:00 NOON
  2. Middle English Schools/Upper Primary Schools: 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM
  3. High Schools & Higher Secondary Schools: 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM

In addition to the adjusted timings, several precautionary measures have been outlined:

  1. Outdoor activities, such as morning assemblies, will be relocated to school verandahs or shady areas to shield students from the intense heat.
  2. Students are advised to carry water bottles and ensure they stay hydrated throughout the day.
  3. Strenuous activities will be avoided to prevent overexertion in the heat.
  4. School authorities are tasked with ensuring electric fans are operational, and promptly addressing any malfunctions.
  5. Immediate action will be taken if any student reports feeling unwell, with guardians being informed promptly and medical attention sought from the nearest healthcare facility.
  6. Comprehensive communication efforts will be made to inform students, parents, and staff about the revised timings and safety protocols.

Effective immediately, these measures will remain in force until further notice, emphasizing the urgency of prioritizing the well-being of students amidst challenging weather conditions.
