Digital Desk: In a horrifying incident, several students at a lower primary school in Kampur's Rajagaon area became ill after consuming a midday meal that was reportedly cooked in phenyl instead of cooking oil.

Reportedly, several students were taken to Nagaon after consuming a mid-day meal laced with phenyl. The incident reportedly occurred on May 17.

Parents of students who consumed phenyl-laced meals filed a complaint at Nagaon's Kachuwa Police Station.

In a similar incident, several students in Rajagaon felt ill after eating a mid-day meal.

According to reports, the health of about 200 students at Jarbagan LP school has deteriorated. 

According to locals, the health of several students became extremely ill.

Soon after, the parents identified that their children were suffering from food poisoning, they were rushed to the Singimari Hospital.

The doctors doubt that the food poisoning was caused by the mid-day meal they consumed.
