Assam's aspiring medical professionals have once again demonstrated their academic prowess, with several students achieving commendable results in the National Testing Agency's (NTA) NEET-UG 2026 retest. Leading the state's success story is Taswin Muttaqi Sarkar from Dhubri, who secured an outstanding All India Rank (AIR) of 213, scoring 685 marks in his very first attempt at the highly competitive examination.

Sarkar, who pursued his coaching in Pune, attributed his remarkable achievement to a disciplined preparation strategy focused heavily on practical application. "My approach prioritized solving questions over extensive theoretical study," Sarkar explained. "I consistently practiced between 100 and 200 questions every day, which proved instrumental in my success."

His family expressed immense pride in his accomplishment. Mubarak Hussain, Taswin's father, highlighted the family's unwavering support throughout his son's rigorous preparation. "As parents, we made every effort to provide him with all the necessary resources for his studies. Achieving AIR 213 is a moment of great pride for our entire family," he stated. Tasmin Begum, his mother, voiced her hope that Taswin would utilize his medical education to contribute positively to society.

Beyond Dhubri, students from regions like Nalbari and Biswanath also contributed to Assam's commendable performance in the NEET-UG 2026 results, underscoring the growing academic potential across the state. This collective success reaffirms the dedication and hard work of students and their families in pursuing higher education in medicine.
