Dhanti's family members alleged that a group of people beat him up after the accident, which led to his demise.


Digital desk: The video journalist of a private satellite channel was tragically killed on Sunday night in a road accident in the Nagaon district of Assam.

According to sources, the video journalist, Dhanti Hira, was riding a two-wheeler home from Samaguri with his two other companions when they hit two youths who were crossing the road in the Khatowal area.

Dhanti suffered severe injuries in the collision along with his two other friends and the youths they ran over with their bike. 

However, before the authorities could arrive, Dhanti succumbed to his injuries in mysterious circumstances.

Dhanti's family members alleged that a group of people beat him up after the accident, which led to his demise.

The motorbike was recovered by the police once they arrived at the scene, and an investigation into the mysterious death of the video journalist was started.

The Nagaon Additional Superintendent of Police visited the accident scene overnight to look into the situation.
