Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that the government would execute everything to stop illegal activities. Assam Government will practice every way to drop the threats of human trafficking, drugs, including illegal cattle importation.

Assam CM said this while addressing the Independence Day celebration held at the Veterinary Playground in Guwahati.

"I wish to reiterate Government's promise to go the additional measure in freeing Assam from infliction of human trafficking, drugs and cattle importation," Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated.

CM Sarma appended: "We shall strive relentlessly to release Assam free from these social evils."

The Assam Police has started a huge crackdown on unlawful drug trades, seizing contrabands worth rupees.

Assam Police lately liberated as many as 55 children from towns in Sikkim. They were supposedly trafficked from Assam for joining them as a household assistant.

The Assam Assembly also passed the Cattle Protection Bill 2021, which restricts killing, trade, and beef consumption near temples and Xtras.
