As per reports, the victim, identified as Rukmini Boro, found herself disoriented in the midst of the rising waters and, tragically, fell into the trapped floodwaters.

This unfortunate incident has cast a harsh spotlight on the predicament faced by several areas in North Guwahati, including Rudreswar, Madhupur, and Rahdhala, among others. The ongoing heavy rainfall has resulted in these regions grappling with artificial floods, posing a significant threat to the safety of residents.
