Digital Desk: In a major drug haul on Thursday, the Cachar police seized up to 150,000 Yaba tablets from Silchar.

The tablets were seized from a luxury vehicle.

Police arrested the supplier Lalswamalina after seizing the massive delivery. The smuggler is being held by police.

In a comparable incident, Assam Rifles troops located 39,04000 pills of unlawful triprolidine HCL and pseudoephedrine HCL tablets in the Champhai area of Mizoram.

In connection with the seizure, one smuggler has been detained.

Based on intelligence inputs, a joint squad from the Assam Rifles and the Customs Department confiscated the drugs.

The retrieved tablets are estimated to have cost a staggering Rs 390.4 crore.

It should be noted that this was one of the biggest catches made by security personnel in Mizoram.
