KAAC elections

The KAAC elections, for example, were held on June 8 under strict security. During the KAAC elections on June 8, police reported incidents of violence at two polling booths in the Duar Amla council constituency in West Karbi Anglong district.
A mob allegedly set fire to ballot boxes and a huge amount of ballot papers at two polling stations, according to authorities. To maintain control of the situation, security personnel fired fire in the air.
