Digital Desk: Prior to its nationwide release on June 28, "Kooki," a Hindi feature film made in Assam, is set to make its mark at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2024. Scheduled for screening on May 21 at Palais H, the film's inclusion at Cannes marks a significant milestone for its producer, Junmoni Devi Khaund, who expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity.

Khaund shared, "I am deeply honored and grateful for the opportunity to screen my debut feature film, 'Kooki,' at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival." She emphasized the film's focus on vital global issues, indicating its relevance in today's world.

Addressing urgent international topics, "Kooki" aims to spark dialogue and awareness, making its Cannes presentation particularly poignant. Khaund highlighted the film's importance, stating, "I believe that the subject matter of our film deserves a global audience."
