Digital Desk: Veteran Assamese actor, Mr. Jayanta Das, well-known for his appearances in several serials, including the popular 'Bharaghar,' has passed away.
The popular Assam actor was under treatment as he had been suffering from liver ailments and battling for his life for the last five days in the Intensive Care Unit at Apollo Hospital in Guwahati.
Jayanta Das was popularly known for the contribution he made to the Assam Cine Industry- He worked on Jonaki Mon, Bukur Majot Jole, Moina Sorai Moina Maat, Bogitora, Ramdhenu, Kadambari, Mitha Mitha Laganat, Nayak, Mon, Kanyadan.
He was popularly known for his work in the Assamese TV Serial 'BharaGhar'.
After battling for a long time Jayanta Das breathed his last at the age of 54. Jayanta Das is survived by his wife and one daughter.
