Tinsukia: More than hundreds of people came out on the streets demanding compensation for the losses incurred during the explosion that occurred in an oil well owned by Oil India Limited last year.

The protesters claimed that there are still a large number of victims who are waiting to receive their compensation from the company.

The victims of Baghjan Tragedy have been protesting time to time seeking full compensation of the damages caused to their land and houses due to the explosion. Notably, OIL has been compensating the victims in a phase- wise manner and many are still on the wait list.
