- Uttarayaana Punyakaala Makar Sankranti Festival/Maghe Sankranti/Sankranti/Pongal/Thiruvalluvar Day: January 15
- Sunday: January 16
The Reserve Bank of India categorizes its holidays into three categories: Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks' Account Closing.
However, it should be noted that bank holidays vary from state to state and are not always observed by all banking institutions.
