Following the victim's reporting of the crime to the Begur police, an inquiry was started. The authorities were able to locate the accused on Wednesday, despite their initial difficulties in doing so

Digital Desk: A Bengaluru woman went through a horrifying experience when a man pretended to be a technician installing a water purifier and harassed her sexually in her own house. The tragedy that happened in Begur prompted the authorities to respond quickly. 

As per a TOI report, on May 4, the 30-year-old victim made a service request for her water purifier. She filed another complaint the next day when the technician did not show up

Around 5 pm, a technician showed up at her house. The woman entered the house by herself, opened the door, and described the purifier's problem. Nevertheless, when the technician instructed her to turn off the main power, things went wrong.

Pushing him out of the kitchen, the woman locked herself and called a nearby friend for help. Her friend reached the kitchen just in time to see her being attacked from outside. Both women confronted the attacker, who fled the scene, sustaining minor injuries in the process.

The victim's rights are being upheld by an ongoing inquiry, and the accused has been taken into custody.
