The mother and her kid were brought to a local hospital, Altius, according to traffic police officials, but they were pronounced dead at around 11 am.

Digital Desk: A Metro pillar that was being built collapsed on the Hennur main road in Bengaluru on Tuesday morning, killing a lady and her two-year-old kid, according to police. 
 
Tejaswini, 35, a worker at Manyata Tech Park, and her son Vihan have been named as the deceased. When the Metro pillar along the Nagawara line collapsed at around 10.30 am, Tejaswini, her husband Lohith, and their twin children- a daughter and a son- were riding a motorcycle off the Hennur main road, according to traffic police officers. Minor injuries were sustained by Lohith and their daughter.
 
 
The mother and her kid were brought to a local hospital, Altius, according to traffic police officials, but they were pronounced dead at around 11 am. They said that Tejaswini passed away from internal bleeding, while the son passed away from head injuries. 
 
According to sources, Lohith is an engineer who works in Vijayanagar. The family currently resides in Hennur and is from Gadag. According to the police, Lohith was driving Tejaswini to her place of employment when the incident happened. 
 
When approached, representatives of the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) were unavailable for comment.
