Lakhimpur: The Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) celebrated the 71st birthday of India Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Lakhimpur. The celebration was carried under a program titled 'Sewa Aru Samarpan Abhiyan.'

Along with the BJYM, the National Committee and Assam State Committee of BJP celebrated the birthday of PM Modi. In this connection, the Lakhimpur district unit BJP has organized programs to support the community and the country.

The Lakhimpur BJP unit president, Phanidhar Baruah, announced the list of programs at a press meet at the North Lakhimpur Press Club. The meet was accompanied by Zila Probhari Gobin Saikia and other district committee office-bearers.

During the meet, Phanidhar Baruah informed that a "xarai' would be offered at Shiva Mandir. Lakhimpur on Spetemeber 17. Moreover, prayers will be made for the good health and long life of prime minister Narendra Modi on his birthday.

"This programme will be conducted at three worship places under Naoboicha LAC by party dignitaries and members on the same day. Similarly, the same programme will be conducted at the namghars, mandirs and other worship places under the mandal and booth-level committees under both Lakhimpur and Naoboicha LACs on September 17," the Lakhimpur district unit BJP president stated.

Moreover, the party members will carry a vaccination drive on September 17 in Naoboicha and Lakhimpur LACs. The Swachhta Abhiyan at River Ranganadi will be carried out on September 19, including distributing fruits and food items among Maitree Ashram and Divyang, orphanages, and old-aged homes.

Also, a blood donation camp at Laluk Model Hospital on September 27 will be organized by BJYM. It will additionally conduct a quiz contest at Madhavdev University, Narayanpur, on October 4.
