Digital Desk: The contentious reality series Bigg Boss 16 is presently airing on Colors TV with Salman Khan serving as the show's host for the thirteenth time. In these weekend ka vaar episodes, the Tiger 3 actor rebukes the contestants for their behaviour and evicts the contestant who receives the lowest votes from the audience.
Since Bigg Boss 4, Salman Khan has hosted the weekend special episodes on Saturday and Sunday. However, this year, the Sultan actor has been hoisting the same on Friday and Saturday. However, Salman was not seen in the Friday program last night and will not host the Saturday episode as well due to dengue.
Karan Johar will take over as the show's host for the Saturday Weekend Ka Vaar episode, as per a clip shared by Colors TV on their Instagram handle, which is captioned, "Archana aur Gori ke beech hui takraar par uthaaye Karan Johar ne sawaal. Ab iss weekend kya hoga inka haal?."
Last year, the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani director hosted the debut season of Bigg Boss OTT, the digital-only edition of Bigg Boss that was exclusively available on Voot and wasn't air on Colors TV. From Bigg Boss OTT, Nishant Bhat, Shamita Shetty, and Pratik Sehjpal entered the main house. The second season was planned to premiere before the new season of Bigg Boss 16, but it was reportedly cancelled by the producers after the first season failed to meet their expectations.
