Digital Desk: Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan, who fell ill and was admitted to a hospital here, was airlifted to Delhi on Friday for specialized treatment, according to Raj Bhavan sources.

On Thursday night, Mr. Chauhan became semi-conscious and was rushed to the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Patna. According to the sources, he was flown to the national capital in a special air ambulance.

"The Governor had been sick with a fever for three days. When his condition worsened on Thursday, he was rushed to the IGIMS. However, when his condition did not improve on Friday, it was decided to transport him to Delhi "They stated.

Mr. Chauhan, 74, was appointed the 29th governor of Bihar in July 2019.
