Digital Desk: Tragedy struck a Bihu celebration in Chhaygaon last night when a 20-year-old youth was killed by a falling tree branch during a severe storm.
The victim, identified as Bhaskar Kalita, a resident of Jambari, was enjoying the festive programme when the sudden squall caused the fatal accident.
The incident has left the entire community in a state of profound grief.
Following the tragedy, the body was initially taken to his residence before being transported by Jambari Police to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for a post-mortem examination.
