Digital Desk: The body of a man, identified as Akhtar Ali of Notboma, Hatigaon, was located in the Basistha River at Saukuchi Tiniali today.
Ali had been missing since Sunday, and a missing person report had been previously filed by his family at Hatigaon Police Station.
Authorities suspect that Ali was swept away by rising floodwaters and carried into the river through the city's drainage system.
The youth has been identified as Akhtar Ali of Notboma, Hatigaon.
While Gorchuk Police are currently present at the scene, recovery efforts are still underway to retrieve the body from the water.
