Digital Desk: Two tragic incidents have shaken Bilasipara, where a youth and a young girl have gone missing in the Brahmaputra River. The two different cases happened in Suwapata 3rd and 5th wards of the region.


In the first incident, Rafikul Islam, who was 19 years old from Suwapata 3rd Ward, went missing while fishing in the Brahmaputra. Despite continuous efforts by local people to trace and rescue him, there has been no trace of him so far


The second incident took place in Suwapata  5th Ward, where a 5-year-old girl, by the name Jesmina Khatun, allegedly disappeared while she was bathing in the river. She is the daughter of Juran Ali, a resident of the same ward.


After receiving the distress calls, a team of the SDRF was sent to the area where they continued search operations. However, unfortunately, both of them are still missing, leaving both families in grief and shock. Authorities are urging caution near riverbanks.
