New Delhi: Delhi has become the 9th state to confirm cases of bird flu with Sanjay Park declared as a “Alert Zone” as concerns over the disease spread continue to rise in several states.

On Sunday, 17 more ducks were found dead in the famous Sanjay Lake in the national capital after which the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) closed the water body-cum-park declaring it as an “alert zone”.

Three other recreational parks in the national capital – Hauz Khas Park, Dwarka Sector 9 Park, Hastsal Park – have also been closed amid the bird flu scare.
