Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, a land mafia stole a pond overnight and constructed a hut in the area where the water body once stood in the Darbhanga district of Bihar.

The land mafia allegedly stole the government pond in Darbhanga, according to reports. They built a hut on the body of water by filling it with sand.

Locals informed the local police as soon as they learned about the occurrence. When the police arrived on the scene, they started an investigation based on the information they had received.

According to police reports, the filling took place within the last ten to fifteen days. The majority of the filling work was completed at night. The police, however, stated that they are unaware of the owner of the land.

It is to be noted that further investigation into the matter is underway.
