Digital Desk: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Trishna Sarma, who lodged a case against Anurag Chaliha, has been reportedly suspended till further orders.
 The President of the Morcha, Debajit Borah, made the decision to suspend the joint secretary of the Kisan Morcha Assam unit from the party on Wednesday.
 "As per the orders of Bharatiya Janata Party, Kisan Morcha, State President Shri Debajit Bora, Secretary (Joint) of Kisan Morcha, Assam unit Trishna Sarma was relieved of all duties today, August 16, 2023. Until further orders, she will continue to be suspended from the party," the letter reads. (translated from Assamese)
It should be noted that after Anurag Chaliha was arrested for his suspected involvement in the suicide of BJP Kisan Morcha Secretary Indrani Tahbildar, Trishna filed a case against him, alleging that he duped her under the guise of providing jobs and completing other official works. She also claims that he also took Rs. 40 lakh from her.
 Indrani Tahbildar allegedly committed suicide after her intimate pictures with Anurag Chaliha went viral. It was also suspected that the aforementioned BJP Kisan Morcha leader was having an extramarital affair with Chaliha, who was staying at her residence as a tenant.
