According to a joint statement from the two companies, they have agreed to establish a joint venture (JV) to create an IT and automotive software development firm in Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai.

The primary locations for development and operations will be Bengaluru and Pune. It further said that business IT solutions will be the main focus in Chennai. The statement also stated that the relevant authorities must review and approve the JV agreement before it can be executed.

According to the statement, it "intends to grow quickly to a four-digit number in the following years" after starting operations with 100 innovators.

The joint venture will join the global network of IT hubs and software operated by BMW Group.
