Guwahati: Assam minister Pijush Hazarika tested positive for covid-19 on Thursday evening, informed the minister in his Twitter handle on Friday.
Today, he is shifted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital and under the doctors observation.
Earlier, he is in home isolation, as per the reports.
He tweeted, “Yesterday I tested COVID positive. I have mild symptoms and I am in Home Isolation, following all COVID protocols and guidelines. Those who came in contact with me are requested to take necessary action accordingly.”

Assam on Thursday reported 844 new covid cases with two fatalities. On the other hand, the recovery rate of the state is 98.36 percent.
Meanwhile, the state reported nine cases of Omicron variant, out of which three were recovered.
