Digital Desk: Amid the rising the threat of Omicron variant, the Covid scare is lurking large in the state, as once again covid cases have begun spiraling up. In the latest report at least 12 students of Titabor’s Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) have tested positive for Covid-19.

Initially, 7 students boarding in the JNV School hostel, had tested positive for the infection a day ago. After a rigorous Covid test conducted on all the students, five more have tested positive for the contagion.

The school administration has isolated the students and is providing all necessary medical care to the infected.

Meanwhile, the JNV school administration has decided to discontinue classes considering the Covid threat in the school.

Classes will resume again after the situation comes back to normalcy.

Meanwhile, considering the impending Omicron scare that is sneaking at large, the state government of Assam has issued new SOP along with night curfew, in order to stop the spread of the infection.

To minimize the Covid threat in Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has urged the people not to panic and instead strictly adhere to the Covid appropriate behaviour whenever in public place.
