Mangaldoi: 22 students of a private higher secondary school in Mangaldoi have tested positive for Covid-19, leading to the Darrang district administration to order the shut-down of the school after the detection of the cases.

These students are from both the first and second-year higher secondary classes of Jnan Vikas Academy situated at Ward No.10 Mangaldoi, Kalaigaon.

Notably, after a closure of nearly twenty months due to the outbreak of the deadly contagion, as per the orders of the Assam Government, all schools had reopened on October 19, this year.
